Help me ID this rose please.

I've lived in this house 3 years now and the former owner was a Master Gardener (they tell me). This thorned rose bush has grown little in 3 years and bloomed very little, but when it does bloom, the blooms are real flat and pretty spectacular. When a bud appears, it usually opens up flat like shown by the very next day. So the new blooms look like many rose blooms on their last legs. They always have just the 6-7 petals, too. Some are larger than this first bloom of the season. I'm including pics of all parts of the plant and hope that will help someone here recognize it.

I suspect this is 'Dr. Huey' as it looks when grown in a shaded spot. I'm guessing this location receives very little (or none) direct sunlight?

Someone on the TXGardenweb forum suggested Dr. Huey as well. And you are correct, Paul, this spot gets dappled sunlight as we have many trees around our house and particularly around this side garden where this bush lives. Thanks for you input.

I agree Dr Huey. I have some in full sun all day and they're practically invasive. Very leggy and doubles every year. They bloom pretty early. My only issue is they don't repeat. Mine don't anyway. There's a beautiful Spring flush and then they're gone! Until next year.
