Concur. Tasti-Lee was developed at the University of Florida ( Dr. John Scott). Its claim to fame is that it can be harvested ripe and still have a two week shelf life. Whether it is the vine ripening or inherent qualities that give superiors flavor I don't know. I see them at Krogers from time to time bu have never tried one. No claims are made for heat tolerance but it is a Florida tomato

With that long shelf life, it sounds as if it maybe crunchy ?!?!?

It doesn't have to be crunchy tbh. I've seen small-ish tomatoes (1 oz?) in commerce that were borderline too soft and really quite good tasting and after a week they were about the same. New hybrids of the last years have made huge leaps. Mostly in the specialty segment though (small or smallish, that's where they probably can get higher price for seed, some being over 1 dollar even in bulk), barely anyone sells beefsteaks, and none that are good (except some from France and Italy)
