2018 peaches "flordabelle"

I thinned this tree out of about 50 percent when they were olive sized and still the branches are hanging down, they have some nice color but are still very hard, will need a week or so to start ripening. The visible fruit is less than half of what is on the tree. Never had a peach so loaded with fruit

The tree is more than 100 feet from street, its a large property ( 5 acres of horse country) in a gated community... so.... no un-invited two legged strangers nearby... let me put my pinky down now...

So very great, I love peaches.that looks like a very happy peach tree. I just picked the last of my peaches yesterday.

Wow!! Could you tell us please how you protect peaches from squirrels? I have never had peaches because of them.

You know the old real estate saying "location, location, location"?

Well, the tree is planted in front of our side entrance and next to driveway. It gets plenty of traffic and squirrels do not like to hang out here. They did show up when the fruit ripened and knocked a few off the tree. There were so many peaches on tree that it really was not a problem. I don't mind sharing some with the local wildlife... within reason... and I am judge of level of reason...

If I planted my peaches were you did I would have a different pest. The two legged type.
