I've never heard of the double Kerria japonica self sowing. The single might well do. If you post a picture on the Name That Plant Forum we might be able to identify the seedlings.

On the other, hand Kerria is a caning shrub which produces new stems alongside the parent shrub, just as raspberries do. Are you sure it isn't these new canes you are seeing rather than seedlings?

Hi Floral, this is a single, or plain ole Kerria Japonica shrub, I've had 2 of them in my front yard under some oaks for at least 6 years. And these (seeming) Babies are independant of the KJ parents, but, right in front of them. I will try and dig them up and repot. The leaves are much different than the weeds and other plants there. I'll try to repot and maybe take pics. I hope I don't forget to take and post pics, I made a note to do so. Thanks for replying Floral.
