Paint cabinets or not

Paint cabinets Swiss coffee white or leave as for now and paint when I can install wood floors? I am for sure getting new countertops and all new stainless steel appliances, ordered a new stainless steel vent hood and we are putting in a stainless steel apron sink. New paint is accessible beige and it’s tgw swatch on the wall next to cabinet. New backsplash is undecided but will be done in a month or so. I’m leaning towards adromita white granite for countertops.

Whole kitchen before any updates, above picture has our paint swatch next to cabinets

Paint cabinets
Keep cabinets wood color and decide later

Me personally I’d do it now, wait for later and it might not seem so important then. Especially if hubby is doing the work he might try n tell u later that it looks fine the way it is. Lol

So if it’s what u want - go for it!

I think your cabinets are beautiful as they are. New counter tops and hardware would do wonder for it.

I think white cabinets would go much better with that paint color you picked and provide a cleaner/brighter look. I also personally like to get all the painting done at once so that is one less thing on the list. The dark wood is just too overbearing, but that is my opinion. Either way would love to see updated pictures!

Those cabinets are really nice! I wouldn’t paint them. But the counters you picked don’t work with the warm tone. If you have your heart set on the white/grey kitchen that is everywhere and most likely on is way out of style then you have to paint and might as well do that first. Personally, I’d find a counter that was creamier and keep the cabinets as is. You can still brighten up the space without a major overhaul. The stainless appliances will help.

I'm definitely in the camp of painting those cabinets. So dark! It looks like you have a skylight and yet those cabinets really drag down the feel of the room. White or a lighter color would make the room more appealing to be in.

I like wood, but that is dark even for me. I would do a high gloss white with silver hardware. Did that in the kitchen at our last house and my wife loved it.

I just think you should get it out of the way now. It would be easiest to paint the cabinets before the rest of the work is done. It would also go better with the cabinets I see in your laundry room. Weird to have such a contrast between the two. White is right for this room and I think it will be in style much longer than this wood color.

I think that color wood ages the room. I think white would soften everything.

The structure of the cabinets is nice, but I would paint them!

Paint the wood cabinets white and change out the counter tops. I would also update the hardware on the cabinets to something other than black.

White seems to be more in right now. I just think the wood is too dark with the paint color you picked. I think that paint color looks great but needs lighter cabinets and different counter tops to fully pull it off.

I like wood but that is a bit dark. I would paint them.

That looks fabulous, Nicole. I'm not a always a fan of painting cabs white to update, but yours turned out really nicely. I don't suppose you'd be willing to share what it cost to have them painted?

We had a professional come out and do them in a hard enamel at his shop, the cost was $3300
