I finally got a weeping redbud and when we went to plant it, the top snapped off. We're not sure why but it seemed there was a partial break or cut. It was about 4 feet tall. We planted the tree and I hae the top.

1) is there any way to repair it and graft the top back on?

2) if not, can I root the top and get another tree?

We're hoping what we planted will be OK. We'll just tell people it's a 'dwarf' weeping redbud!
