Need help choosing tile fast!

This is our existing bathroom floor tile. We do not want to replace it. A new shower enclosure is being completed within a day and we haven’t chosen tile. We’ve made 7 trips to the tile store, received a ton of bad design advice and are about to halt our project. What goes with this tile? Our vanity is white. Shower is 4x5x8 with a glass enclosure. This is the master and we want it to feel timeless and bright. Need advice fast! Please ignore the tiles shown in the shower area.

If the floor is staying, no more pattern tiles as they will compete with existing, and no grays as the floor is warm. How about a large format subway tile? White is safe, but a pale beige/cream color would look pretty with the floor. What is your shower floor? Flat pebbles would look good.

Looks like your shower pan lacks waterproofing membrane which should run up the wall at least 6-8".

Yes, the shower pan is being installed today. It’s not finished.

I agree with Skippack, a cream colored subway tile would be nice in the shower. Keep in mind that with a white vanity, you may want to paint it cream to coordinate better with the floor tile.

I would go with a white subway, or even a beige to tie in the floor. Nothing to busy as the floor already adds that POP.

Plain light beige. No pattern to compete with the floor. Look at American Olean for a wide color choice with moderate prices. It is widely available.

Does the existing floor tile come in different sizes? The reason I ask is because when we redid our bathroom we used a 13" x 13" on the floor and used an 8" x 10" (vertical stacked pattern) on the tub surround and capped it off with a bullnose, all in the same pattern. I think it came out really well.

I’d love to see a picture! This is what we were able to find this morning. We can use the darker of the larger two tiles on the walls in one shower, and the lighter one in our other bathroom so we don’t have to look again. The mosaics for the shower floor or for an accent. Thoughts?
