We expect better ventilation than that. Downdrafts are virtually useless. If you want an expensive hunk of noisy steel to pull ineffrcyivrky at cooking vapors, you have to buy it separately. And engineer how the two work together. Usually with deeper than standard cabinets.

Downdrafts are useless, and the badly photoshopped steam in that picture is laughable. Most downdrafts would suck maybe a third of that in real life.

As someone who has owned a Bora cooktop I can say that it actually works. It’s honestly better than any other system I’ve ever used.

So much so that since relocating to the USA from Australia i’m very surprised it’s not here. It’s better than anything else on the market.
