Please help create similar look for the bedroom!

Hello,
I would like to create a similar look on a budget for my daughter's bedroom (she really loves it) but I am stuck choosing bedding patterns and colors! I have a headboard that can be painted (color match suggestions?), and instead of the footboard maybe paint a bench same color? I was hoping to use the yellow hibiscus duvet cover from The Company Store and I found fabric that may work (or not) for the back pillows. What other patterns and colors would tie it together? We prefer turquoise on the blue side, not green/ teal :) Any help will be so appreciated!!!

Pretty room. With all the painted furniture, it should be relatively easy to pull off on a budget.

For the blue, maybe take a look at BM "Yosemite Blue" 2059-40

You can recreate the upholstered effect by cutting foam to the size of your wooden bench and stapling gingham fabric around. Run white trim around the edge and hammer in brad/nailhead edge to secure. Supplies should be available through your local fabric store.

Ribbon trim sewn on plain white shades or curtains will replicate the windows, and the pictures above the bed also look like fabric remnants that have been matted and framed. If you have frames of a matching size around the house, a white paint wash is all they will need.

I think all of this is pretty easy to do. Check out some do it yourself sites also for inspiration, pinterest and YouTube. I think this is a beautiful room. Good Luck!

If you have a big chain fabric store near you, I've noticed that some of the boldest patterns, and durable fabric is the Sunbrella in the rear of the store. My girls and I pop in there and we'll pick out a stand-out pattern but just get enough to do the front square of the pillow and we'll use a plain less expensive material for the back so the impact is high but cost is low. Then, it's stain resistant as well. Also, the rug in this picture looks very close to a knock-off that is available on line from Pier 1 and Target. Hope that's helpful.
