sorry. that's not beadboard. those are individual ripped slats. looks like 1x1 or 1x2. I've made these myself, on a smaller scale. you can find boards in 8', 10' or even longer at a lumberyard. ripping all of those into even slats takes a bit of work.

the boards are stained on 3 sides and probably nailed to a furred out planks or directly to the wall w/adhesive. it's not difficult to do, really. time consuming, yes.

Not beadboard. Could be Oak 2" tongue and groove wood strips concealed nail with bevel.

Be aware if flooring is used, there will be butt joints---the wall/ceiling will look just like a floor would. Darker stains disguise those type joints better than the lighter ones, but different pieces of wood stain differently, even pieces from the same tree.

As for cost, it should be more expensive than a floor, partly because supports have to be added and working overhead is always more labor than on a floor. Staining and finishing could be done before installation in many cases.

I installed flooring on a ceiling in my younger son's exercise room in his basement. The floor rafters were exposed, so we just fastened the flooring to those. Stained and finished before installing.

if you want to use the flooring option, you certainly can. I've done planks on my ceiling and on walls. it's not that difficult. however, the slats that you want in those pics, are something different. I think I explained how to do it.

here is one DIY. he did it exactly how I referenced it above. a lot of cutting and staining.

and the btw,,floor and decor has these wall panels. just stick em to your wall
