Apparently I can't resist Wide Brim. Back when I first started buying hostas, I bought it three times, not realizing I already had one.

I have attempted to buy Great Expectations numerous times. If there is an entire table full of hostas at the garden center, I will immediately be drawn to GE and pull up the pot only to realize it's GE and I already have it. This year, I resigned myself to the fact that if I see another one, I'm just going to buy it and find a spot for a second one.

If you have multiples, I say "sharing is caring". Maybe you can find someone nearby who would be thrilled to have them.

Popmama, yeah... usually I am good with sharing but with Hostas it’s hard for me:-) at the moment I would only give to the people who helped me start.

I keep everything for myself :-)) there Isaiah’s the possibility for starting a new bed :-)

Saija, I have a lit of "no more buying" myself. Three times and that's it! If i've tried it three times in three different places and it still won't grow, we are just not meant to be.

Accidentally? Just once.

Never and I also quit buying ones that are sooo similar they don't add any new interest to my gardens.
