Marie -- I am west of Worcester and bought 'Leading Lady Sophia' a few weeks ago for the first time. One bloom so far, lots of buds, and it's very pretty. Performance here is yet to be determined, but I have high hopes. (Got this one as my younger granddaughter is named Sophia. Couldn't resist!)

Where I am the typical thread-leafed and lance-leafed Coreopsis do well, but I have lost a number of the fancy ones, so I no longer buy them until I have some idea of whether they might survive here. I am just not willing to toss away any more money. I haven’t heard anything about how this series does, however. I would love to hear how Sophia does for you, roxanna.

NHBabas, if my elderly brain cells can be kept working, I'll be happy to report on 'Sophia' as the season goes on. I agree with you about the newer Coreopsis being not great -- so disappointing, esp. the rose/red colors. They'd be so pretty but they act as annuals for me, and I gave up on them as well.

By the way, I love when you post photos of your gorgeous gardens!! Please keep doing that -- I am truly envious.

I have an unpredictable, rural internet connection which can take 3-5 minutes to upload a photo, so I mostly can only post pictures when I am somewhere with a decent connection. Just so you know I am not ignoring your request. There are lots of wonderful things about living where I live, but my internet connection isn’t one of them (despite literally being 15 miles from the NH state capitol building!)
