White pines shed their needles periodically. The needles turn brown and then fall, revealing new green needles. Hopefully this is all that is happening with your trees.

Yeah, our group of tall pines dropped needles for maybe one week, about a week ago.

Yup, all our pines look far more yellow than green right now as the old needles which have been on the tree for perhaps 2 or 3 years have turned yellow and are getting ready to drop. Unless it still looks bad and continues to lose needles for longer than a month or so, it is perfectly normal, even if it doesn’t happen when most trees drop their leaves.
