Took me more than an hour to free them from the perfect packing, biggest is more than 70 cm, Valley's Himitsu, a very lovely plant...

I won't say crazy, I will say curator. Your collection is growing! It's inspiring.

Been outside and took some pics :-) We had thunderstorm and rain yesterday and the temperature and humidity is too high to do something in the garden...

Red Scorpion for lindalana, around 60 cm high (plant only)...very nice red legs...it's only TC but from those Jeroen took for himself, looks bigger than others I've seen before...

Now you can do what you do best - make wonderful hosta arrangements. I purchased Valley's Ruffle Shuffle as a TC in 2016. It is a very vigorous hosta and will fill your pot in no time.

HOT even in my shade..in for a break..I love all of your tall ones!..especialIy Red Scorpion..wish I could work as fast as you do!..a shot of my plants on the sidewalk..some of them have been repotted..the Krossa Regals are now in my tall pots..2 cannas are in the stone urns..the curcumas are in the brown plastic urns..there's 6 pots of caladiums..a rex begonia and a croton in white clay pots so some progress..

Donna, I always remember that tiny plant in the glass when you show your wonderful Ruffle Shuffle. Must have been around the time when I started posting on garden web. Not so long ago and that hosta grew very big in that time...Jeroen gave me a nice plant...

Ann, you will love the Krossas in those big pots, they would make nice guardians for an entrance door or stairways :-)

I also love the other plants of your collection, I had a croton years ago, maybe I should get one again...caladiums are so nice, but not easy to get here...

What is curcuma? Looks like asparagus...

Karin..pretty coleus!..great colors..I love red, wine and purple with hostas..still thinking about where to put my potted Krossa Regals..can't wait until next year when they've grown and don't have ratty leaves from when I bought them..curcuma longa is the plant that produces tumeric..has a flower that lasts a long time..bought 2 of them last year..they die back and I brought the pots in..just left them in the pots they came in..then planted them this year in my urns..couple of screenshots of curcuma..

I mixed curcuma up with the plant in the urn above the caladiums. That looks like asparagus :-) I noticed no changes in gardenweb here...

Wow, Beautiful Valley's. In few years corner will be magnificent. My Garden Web has updated and looks different.

Karin, your potted Hostas are inspiring! Was very disappointed that many of my potted hostas and other perennials that I overwintered in my insulated but unheated shed rotted. Not sure what I did wrong; the smaller containers seemed to fare better than the larger ones.

Nicholsworth, love that Curcuma! Almost bought one last year but was unsure about overwintering it; might have to give it a try this year!

Saija, my Garden Web changed today too; not sure yet what I really think of it but I don't as a rule like change, lol.

nicholsworth, I had to google the curcuma, a fantastic looking flower and nice foliage, had never heard of them before, I doubt I'll find any here lol.

debbiecz..try one!..I had one a few years ago for 3 summers..I overwintered it 2 times and it returned..then after the 3rd winter it didn't come up..still not sure why..so when I saw these last year I bought them..

Denis..I think most people here treat curcumas as annuals..I like their tropical look..

Nickolsworth, reminds me of my overwintering vodoo lilies. They are not hardy here so I did it for few years. Requires dedication.

Cudos for doing all those pottery! I do too and then spend rest of the summer watering them LOL

Lol, Denis, I'm far from being his best customer, but might be one day because I really have to concentrate on collecting and his I like the most...You can not immagine how nice it is to open one of his boxes, everything is perfect, each plant in it*s single root compartment and the leaves wrapped with so much care...you see the love he has for his plants in such little things. The soil he uses is totally different from what I have ever seen, very black and rich and someday I have to ask him what he uses...

And they all seem to be good growers...

I'm planning to use this part of the garden for my Valley's next year...I want to put them in the ground to make sure they have the best conditions I can give them...will be hart work ...

Super Karin! Could you tell me why you aren’t planting them in the garden right away?

I have not ordered online yet, I hope that I might find a pot at the nursery with more eyes. :-)

I have just a very small piece of land beside the house and the rest is stone pavement, that's why I started to grow them in pots. From time to time I put one into the garden and now it is also full. I always make plans and change the look of the beds and I think the Valley's need something where I can present and grow them properly. So a few of the old one's will be divided next year and go back into pots to make room for a Valley's garden. It is also because I never loose a hosta in the garden and Valley's are kind of expensive... No problem to loose a June, it can be replaced easily, but that's different with Jeroen's plants. They are mostly OS and of some there are less than 5-10 worldwide.

Look at the big leaves of Valley's Himitsu, you can compare it with the 4 year old Empress Wu on the table:-)
