This is the entrance to the living room

This is one layout (I like this but we want to add a baby grand to the living room).

Me? I don't want to ask questions about which piece goes where.... can you list what furniture goes in chandelier room? give the color, please?

I'm sorry to say I don't really think the chairs and couch go together. It looks like chairs are brown leather and couch is gray leather? And one is square and the others are round (arms and nailhead trim). I like them both separately, but together they would look muddled.

But... for a layout, I would put the couch and chairs facing each other, perpendicular to the fireplace (rotate your inspiration picture 90°). Then you can float the baby grand opposite the fireplace, where you have the table now. The table seems a bit out of place in a formal sitting room- what would you use it for? I think you have room for the piano or the table but not both.

First, the two leather chairs will probably look better with the brown sofa in the family room. They have that slouchy TV watching look to them. I would hang a taller mirror vertically over the mantel so it would reflect the chandelier. Then I would place the piano out in the center under the chandelier. Add a pair of chairs at the FP end. Put the Chesterfield of the remaining long wall with a great piece of art 5" above it.

Great ideas! I agree that the nailhead chairs don’t go with the formal chesterfield. They will go to the tv room (they also have a matching ottoman - great for stretching your feet!). So essentially what you are saying that it will be a ‘U’ formation with piano facing the FP and under the chandelier? Only problem with that is the piano will be right across from the entry and may block traffic. What do you think about lining the straight side of the piano against the right (to FP) wall? (The opening there will be closed as the room it leads to us a bedroom.)

Also which table do you not think belongs in the living room, the red Moroccan one or the Iris one?

I do have a gilded gold mirror for the mantle. What you are describing is an ‘L’ formation right? Here is another drawing where the sofa is on the long wall but there is no piano in it. I don’t like that sofa faces the entry in it. But we are closing the opening near FP so that area can be used possibly for the sofa or the piano.

Which coffee table do you think will go with the grey sofa? Red Moroccan or the iris one?

I think the Moroccan one is too tall for the Chesterfield.

If room, I'd try art that repeats iris purple or other color from rug between piano and window.. or repeating a medium purple somewhere... ?

That’s my plan too with the artwork! There’s a wall between piano and window which has a same grey chesterfield facing the one visible. That’s going to have artwork by local artists. I definitely need to repeat the purple.

Sorry, I missed your post earlier! Looks good, can you rotate the piano so the bench faces into the room / the back left corner?
You don't need anything to the left of the left couch, but you can put something there if you want. A tall vase or a plant or a lamp perhaps.

I would also try to add some color above the mantel. Maybe an orchid or other plant with purples similar to the coffee table?

That’s s great idea - I’ll put a purple orchid on the mantle. The corner on the left is next to the entrance, maybe a potted plant there?

I think a potted plant would be great to the left of the couch! Perhaps something that comes about 2' above the couch to give the room some height.

Is there any grey nearby, or in next room? i feel a disconnect with color/style of sofas, and rest of the room... as though mirror frame if a pewter, could blend/ repeat grey.... know what I mean? yes the piano is black and in person maybe that's "enough."

Carpet has some grey in it. In life it doesn’t look out of place, looks quite neutral actually.
