Paint looks more blue than we wanted

We painted our 3rd bedroom a grey that we thought was a true grey (this will be out future baby room so we wanted a neutral that would go with any other colors) and this morning in the light it definitely has a baby bluish tint to it (yuck) I know different aspects bring out more grey or blue & painted some tips as to what we could do in that room to bring out more of the grey.
We could always paint it again in a year or so...we just wanted the room painted for now bc the last owners had it yellow ....so it had to be changed.

Just wondering if we put a white & gray chevron rug in there..would that gray help bringout the gray in the wall? or maybe make the wall look even more blue compared to the rug?

I had this same exact issue too! What I did was try to bring out brighter colors, so I had purple accents. But to be honest, no matter what I did, whenever it was overcast or had natural light hit...it looked blue. The only time it looked grey to me was at night with artificial lighting. :(

same here!! We had the windows covered for painting so everytime I looked at it it was true grey! Now natural light coming through the windows, so blue!! I think picking paint colors is my least favorite part of decorating!!

This is cute...love the yellow. The paint color on the walls goes blue, too.

When you want to paint a true grey., it is always necessary to select a grey on a slightly warmer side. Most greys will appear blue especially in daylight. If you want to suppress the blue add other cool colors to accent it. Definitely do not add warm colors as this will push the coolness of the grey in the "wrong" direction. I hope this helps.

To clarify, colors on the opposite side of the color wheel accentuate the qualities of the opposite color. So if a cool blue-grey is placed alongside a warm yellow, the yellow will make the coolish grey look bluer. I have an app that helps people with this exact dilemma.
