How to attach the gold piece

How do you attach the gold horizontal zigzag piece to the back for hanging? I’ve tried hammering it and it doesn’t stay.

    Sorry for the hassle. You can actually hang that frame from the attached loops on the photo backs. To use the saw tooth hanger, you place the side with the 2 sharp points facing down and give it a few light taps with a hammer. You want the zig zag side facing the floor, as that is what the nail in the wall with rest on. You can see a video we made here:
