That is actually, what I currently have. Please refer to the first photograph. I’m just looking to update to something a little more pleasing to the eye. I’m replacing all of my interior -non-closet doors with a clear pine two panel design door that will be stained in a medium reddish-brown color called gunstock. I’m looking to replace my closet doors with something that will be complementary. Do you have any ideas?

Double overlapping barn doors would work. You would only be able to open one side at a time.

IMO a bad choice as access to closets are best whenthe whole closet is accessible at once Why not just paint those the same as the walls and make them disappear if this is in the bedroom and if in a hallway get them to match your other doors.

Very good point and thanks for your idea of painting them to blend in. I don’t think the access to only one half of my “pantry” at a time would be irritating however I do think it would be irritating on our bedroom closet doors. Thank you :-)

I've read where you can replace the bifold doors with something similar to a french door. I am considering this for my master bedroom closet because I think it would look nicer than bifold. You can google it if interested.

That is a great idea...my master bedroom has more than adequate space to accommodate french doors. I'll definitely look it up, thanks!!
