Dogwood tree needs help

I live just outside of Seattle. WA and purchased a Dogwood tree from a local nursery about 2 1/2 weeks ago. When I purchased it it appeared healthy and was blooming beautiful flowers.

I dug out a hole twice the size of the root ball cut the twine around the rootball, mixed 1/2 soil that was in the spot I planted (Top soil) and 1/2 of the soil (mostly clay) that came with the tree in the pot. As you can see in the photos it’s looks like I’m starving it from water but I have been watering multiple gallons daily for the first few days then for the last week every other day. When I water I do it by a slow drip out of the hose for a longer period of time to try to get the water deep in the soil. Trees location is mostly/full sun.

Does it look like it needs even more water? Not sure if I need to give it some kind of supplements...

Anyone have any advice or ideas on what could be going on?

Thank you for your time.

Matt
