time for day trips .... what else to do in the heat of summer ...

if you were to want to visit hallsons .... you could throw hidden lakes gardens in the round trip to hallsons ... its in tipton MI ... just west of tecumseh ... it has the herb benedict memorial garden ... as well as an extended conifer collection and a observatory ... this is also where the MI hosta society has its late summer work day and auction ....

there are also a couple wineries somewhere along the way ...

it would have been a great car trip this weekend... consider it was near 100 outside ... better than sitting in the house ...

anyone making a prolonged car trip to a seller ... ought to call ahead ... and make a general appointment for any garden .... i bet you will get extra nice attention ...

the farthest i ever drove to a seller.. was the supreme road trip of my hosta life... van wades ... mere 3.5 hours each way .... not including the 6 hours there...
