Why curtains at all with " a distressed industrial style" ? Why?! And no to GOBLET pleats. You don't show the furniture, the room or the window.......but the entire concept seems a bit fussy, and at odds with your information.. I would skip patterned curtains, do simple panels with a grommet /no pleat header in a solid/ heavy textured linen if you must have them at all. Otherwise? A simple roman shade.....and a plain and organic linen fabric on that as well. Put the pattern elsewhere. Maybe get a new "designer" too........: )

Ixnay to the concep, suggestion as above post. The room requires little privacy, even in your jammies at ten pm. It certainly doesn't need a ton of pattern or fabric.

A simple and beefy linen, and best is a roman shade for each of the windows. A "woven wood" shade in same roman can be nice as well. Hunter Douglas has some nice ones, Smith and Noble as well, and you can add a privacy liner to either.

Save the fabric for a bedroom, panels, or a duvet cover and shams.....depends repeat and yardage. If these were to be single panels, at far ends only, I doubt you have more than eight yards on order. If double width, perhaps 16 yards and enough for a duvet cover and a couple shams.

Far worse would be the lining, labor, rods, rings and BS associated with her plan. I'd rather "eat" the fabric. I shall pray the plan was not for each window to have a pair. Shoot me if that's the case.

I am another one to nix the pleats and go with grommets and the fabric should not have been ordered until all the design had been decided, IMO a line would be good if you really need drapes at all and as suggested maybe that fabric in another space.

The gut is usually on the money : ) Listen to it when bucks are involved.

An Ikat I suppose would be fine. But texture is forever. : ) and will always "go". I just don't think you need the pattern. The SHELVES actually become a "pattern" of sorts, you have a simple pattern in the rug. Stay with the idea you began, would be my advice. Add a chair by the window if you need a pattern or jolt of color. Do a Woven wood shade and call it a day.

Pretty room. Not INDUSTRIAL in any way, and three times the size. Tabs, goblets, grommets......the curtains just feel wrong. jmho of course. Intent for a space, and staying true to the intent always gets one the best result.
