Take into consideration- function- is it just for looks or do you need it to put out a certain amount of light? Scale- for a dining room for example, you would measure the room diagonally and convert that number to inches. So if the room was 26 feet diagonally, you would go with a chandelier about 26 inches. Because this is a foyer space, I would say go bigger rather than smaller. Measure the foyer space diagonally, then go bigger, but not smaller in inches. Lastly- style. You don't have to be matchy-matchy. That railing is such a beautiful focal point, make sure you don't take too much away from it. Beautiful space!

thanks colbran, do they have their own website ?

Schoeman- I think my chandelier need to functional but I like you advice of not taking away from the stairs, would you make the chadelier bigger then what is currently there ? do you have any recommendations on type of chandelier ?

Mandy - my dogs are bernedoodles, they share a father but they are actually not twins

Why isn't the outlet centered. I have moved it in these images.

Thanks beverly, this is the old setup and they had it above the front door, we were thinking on centering it just like the picture you showed. What program did you use to visualize the space with the chandeliers above ?

Microsoft Paint. It's just cut and paste

Here's the space empty for anyone who wants to Photoshop:

Thanks beverly, I'll try that when I have finally narrowed down the fixture

Bowser- the dogs were bought from bear paws bernedoodles in the hastings michigan, they super easy to train, smart and just so well behaved. You can use me as your referral if you like. I had them flown to me with their flight nanny, she brings them to you by flying with them in the passenger compartment. If you need any more information , message me.

Grover and Nikki- Thanks for your help! love the ideas

Search by size, I would go bigger than what is in the original picture, yes!
