Is there any scent to the foliage when rubbed?

Ah ha, there is! Very strong, slightly minty. Must be some type of thyme!

Doesn't look like any thyme I know. It appears to have fleshy leaves. There are lots of Lamiaceae family members which are scented, including mint, basil, sage, catmint etc. I was just trying to narrow it down a bit.

Can you tell us the dimensions of the leaves?

You’re right - the flowers matched, but I couldn’t find an image of a whole thyme plant that looked quite right. Here are the leaves, they’re slightly larger at the base of the plant. It definitely could be Calamintha nepeta!
