I was just reading a CNET review killing a SQ top load and saw their top pick for front load washer is the Electrolux EFLS627UTT. I'm pretty sure the matching dryer has a stacking kit. (https://www.cnet.com/products/electrolux-efls627utt-washing-machine/review/)

Does a full size set work or do you need a 24" compact set?

Just about all front loaders stack with a matching dryer... look into Whirlpool, Maytag, LG, Kenmore (LG built), Electrolux, Miele, Bosch.

Not sure what your budget is and needs are.

My Speed Queen certainly does a good job. Real world experience.

It depends on the size you need. I have a full size Samsung laundry set upstairs and it was stacked in our old house (you have to purchase the stacking kit separately) and I have a Bosch compact washer and dryer (these fit under the counter and are considerably smaller in terms of load size). If you can fit a full size front load set in your space, buy that above a compact set. The Bosch has a ventless dryer and is an excellent choice if your space is small.
