I also like the wood. Just so you know, white trim on wood doors is a good look. you do not have to paint all your interior paneled doors. A wood paneled door is of more value than white MDF door, and wood doors are easier to maintain.

What do you think about the middle runner selection for the stairs ?

Should I paint the front inside door white. And do you like the runner in the first picture. I was thinking of the middle color.

I'm all for white paint, but I would leave the front door wood. If it's not pretty, a light sanding and a coat of poly will make it new again.

Computer monitors don't give true colors, so hard to say on the runner. All three look fine. If you are unsure, get the opinion of a friend with a good eye for color who can look at the choices while standing in the space. If you have children and pets who will be going up and down the stairs, consider the ease of cleaning and durability too.

Thank you all for your responses. Looks like most like the front inside door as is - stained , which I like too. My designer said to paint it white but I was unsure. My current runner is the same as the area rug ( we took it off to stain the stairs). Should I put it back on or go with a new look - the sample in front of the stairs.
I’m just tying to update a little. We are empty nesters and no pets.
