Wood flooring from 1947 house?

I’ve got a couple wood floors I’m trying to identify. Any help would be appreciated! The house was built in 1947 on the northeast coast. One floor is under carpet. I sanded a spot down trying to see the grain better. Second floor that’s very orange is upstairs. Are they the same wood?

From here, it looks like Southern Yellow Pine (SYP). Technically a "softwood" because it has needles and cones, but a wood that is very dense and becomes denser with age.

Do you think it's old enough to be able to refinish and wear well in a living area? Or would I be better off going over it with another wood? Thanks for your help!
