love the black shade flushmount with crystals....I think it will mix well with dining room and living room....because it will be mounted up high a black door will look fabulous! Go for it!

Julie, we spoke about a small solid gray or black rug in the foyer, which "sounds" so easy... sigh, SO, what would the appropriate size be? The space is 6 feet across. I was thinking a 2x3 or 3x3? I would get your new chandelier up and door painted than we can really think about what color will look best....black or gray? So many different shades of gray..maybe 50..haha that is a joke..50 shades of gray;)

Everdebz, thank you! I will take another photo and post it. I am working on switching out the middle rug because I feel it is too much to have all 3 lined up this way. It is kind of a unique entryway and I wasn't sure how else to set it up. I am working on it little by little. The one thing I won't change is the dining room (the right room in the picture, with the trellis rug) it is literally perfect (thanks to Home Interiors!) :)

everdbiz, Are you referring to the wall color and the door? The wall is actually gray, I think the lighting coming in through the door distorts how it really looks in person...

Not really, on occasion when we have company...I feel like there needs to be ' something' to step on though, maybe just my comfort zone!

May I say... from what I can see:

I like the 2 blue [partly] rugs on left fine, and with the soft blue paint -- but no chair rail in living area seems "off" and the zebra shouts in comparison.... sorry.

Do you suggest a chair rail in living area? I was also thinking about adding crown molding to the entry way...I did the bare minimum when we built but am working on different areas little by little! As far as the zebra rug, I wanted a statement rug and love zebra print. I am working on that room too, I am looking at a mirror and art that I will be posting soon for opinions!

Everdebz no light blue the walls are all shades of light gray..the rug in dining room is gray and dark charcoal and the living room is black and white...

kelley crown molding would look beautiful and the continued chair rail into the living room would look cohesive when coming in the front door.

A faux fire place! I never knew there was such a thing! :) We have a fireplace in the grandroom, open to the entry way, would that look like too much? Do you like the mirror I posted? I thought it would like nice with the other we got from ZGallerie in the dining room...

Yep! Would ground the room and give a focal point....it is just fine to have two fireplaces..completely separated...the round mirror from Zgallery would look so pretty hung over it....simple art above sofa..just would need to check sizes...

Remove center rug....if anything a small black rug That just blends in...
