There are a million colours that would work! If you want a grey pick up samples of grey from a paint store. Greys will depend on tehir blues they hold. I like the blue tone greys better myself. I've happen to fall in love with greys about a year ago and have some in my pantry, and my kitchen at present. Bathroom is going to be getting a grey/white marble tile. I also think if you want to add some colour blues would look nice. I'd stay away from the red family and the green family with the bamboo.

Not a ton of light in the room. This gold tone was before we got the new furniture. I agree, no red or green. And I will definitely put an area rug in here, I'd just like to get an idea for the walls first. I've tried a few grays but I'm just not sure how they're gonna look with this floor being so warm?

I think as long as you keep it light to a soft medium, it would be fine. I like greys and find them to be soothing so that would be nice with a warm look.
