We just bought a new house and are looking to do a gallery wall in the upstairs hallway. I have picked out frames that I like but they come in white, the same brown as the wood on the stairs as well as a grey similar to the wood flooring shown. Not sure what would be best for our modern style home. Around the corner from this will be an under-counter beverage centre with dark wood cabinets so I am concerned there might be too much dark wood in that hallway. I am unsure if the grey frames would provide enough contrast against the beige wall colour. White frames with white mattes seem kind of boring. Your thoughts?
