OMG I actually made a quilt!

I think this may be my first finish this year. I started it last weekend and finished today. This is my experiment using dryer sheets as string foundations. They are 6” x 9”, so I sewed the strings across the short side then added horizontal strips to top and bottom to make squares.

It‘s going to Jackie for the Baby James project.

Very nice quilt! Great binding. Please wash many times to get the dryer sheet smell out of it or it's going to make a lot of people sick with headaches and nausea.

Bright and cheery! Is the green an animal print? My eyes can't quite decipher the design.

Susan - #1 - they are unscented used dryer sheets, #2 - I always wash quilts before giving them away. It's not "going to make a lot of people sick."

Larri, it's farm animals - cartoon cows and pigs. :)

Good that you used unscented dryer sheets because yes, if they were scented, it WOULD make a lot of people sick. Those scents make people sick but they are embarrassed to say anything.

So cute and what a nice variation on a string quilt. I don't use dryer sheets any more but glad they worked for you. Really nice colors in there.
