I would get a print bed cover to compliment your color scheme. Change the shades on the lamps to ivory or a soft white.

What color do you like? Neutral is a great base. Since everything is neutral you can add any color you want. Keep walls and bedding neutral Change pillows and art to bring in whatever color you want. I like navy, turquoise, red greens, yellow. I actually like changing my bedding with the season. Light and airy for summer, heavier darker for winter. You can totally change the look of the room for not too much money

You need much heftier lamps with white shades to complement the head board and I would get better bedding.

"Dusty" pink walls?

What a great headboard! Unfortunately, your wall color is not complementing the wood tones. A few shades lighter would be nice, or you could go much darker. I think your lamps need to be bigger to hold up to the statement headboard. Something solid, like an urn style, with regular white shades.

Start with a throw at the end of the bed in a color you like I would do blue and then ad a couple of illows with that blue in them instead of the small ones stacked in the middle go 2 larger ones

If you want color , think of which color YOU like best , then look at the elegant department stores ..they have made up beds with the most beautiful designed bedspreads ...or blankets , with patterns incorporating your favorite color ...or add just a one colored blanket as an accent color ...then put some flowers in your room and enjoy . Although ..you could look at your pillows after you pick your color ...perhaps one or two will need a touch of that color also ..It looks like a serene lovely bedroom ...I for one would not use blue ..in that room . To me it takes the calm feeling away ...I would go with burgundy ...or a pale yellow pattern that has some of your beige /grey tones ......it's you that has to live with it. ..you don't need to go bold to introduce another tone to freshen up the space ...

Well, "pops of color" are never the answer so let's start there. Decorating is not about adding a random color into a space, that will solve nothing and will only create other issues. Your problem is twofold .... 1) you're right about color in that your's do not go together, and when you're saying that it needs a "pop", it doesn't need a "color" thrown into it, it needs CONTRAST. Contrast is a different concept than just adding a random color for the sake of adding color. Rooms needs dark things and light things. You only have light things, so it's coming across as flat and boring because nothing stands out against an all light backdrop. And 2) you need to pick a style. Your headboard and nightstands do not match, so that is throwing things off.

So what I would do is (assuming that furniture is all staying) .... I would stain all of the wood in the headboard and the nightstands a darker espresso color. With that, your pieces will look more dramatic and current, and the white bedding will look crisp and clean against it. (I would leave the dresser as is so that all of the pieces are not matching). Then you need taller lamps to stand up against the height of that headboard, and with neutral cream lampshades (no gray, gray matches with nothing in that space). And then you need to add to the bedding. Bedding needs to have LAYERS. You need more pillows focusing on the neutral colors but with TEXTURE. And then I would put a folded comforter at the bottom of the bed to break up all of that white and tie in the darker espresso color you have added into the space.

I love the idea of darkening up the headboard with a darker stain so it stands out against the "Sherwin Williams "Amazing Grey" color on the walls. @ Tems, the only thing dusty is your nasty unnecessary comment. Walls not even remotely pink, they're Amazing Grey with Alabaster trim. Best color ever!

I love the headboard! The beautiful scroll work is getting lost in front of the wall color. Maybe either paint just behind the headboard or get wood or ? to paint and put behind the headboard. The scroll work would really pop.

If you want some color, then add some color. You could easily add a blue throw at the end of the bed, then add some blue pillows, a blue rug under the bed, and some other hints of blue around the room. This could be with a blue chair, artwork, and window treatments.

Your room looks great. You could add a lot of color with bedding. Start there first.

Adding colorful lamps on your bedside tables and a few brighter colored throw pillows would work. Good luck!

Your room looks GREAT as is.... The white bedding looks nice, like a luxury hotel. I like your headboard, as it adds interest to the wall, like wall art. However, you need to add life with green plants,which are underestimated in finishing a room. If this were my room, I'd add bigger lamps, colored or patterned quilt at the end of the bed and a rug, seating (if you have the room), like here:

Very pretty room!! I like your white bedding. It's sophisticated. I like amazing gray, too. Skip the bed-in-a-bag colorful comforters in my humble opinion. I like the idea of changing the lampshades to white. Also, adding your accent color will be so pretty. Start with a beautiful bed scarf at the foot with. Colors/print you love. Love navy and white.

Im starting with this Indigo throw for the end of the bed and I think a color like radiant orchid or a fuschia thrown in the mix will look nice with the blue and grey walls. Also a great idea to lighten the lamp shades! I definitely think painting the wall behind headboard, which is actually a room divider, is a great idea too. Just need to find a lighter coordinating color for the Amazing grey color on the other walls. My husband will blow a gasket if I tell him I'm repainting the entire room we just finished painting...;)
