Our 3 car garage needs to allow for these purposes: 1)Laundry room; 2)Workout room (weights system & elliptical); 3)Workshop & Tool Storage; 4)Sports gear storage for a family of 5 in S. California (meaning all kinds of boards, bikes, wetsuits, sand toys, beach chairs, balls/bats/cleats, etc); 5)Food Pantry; 6)Extra fridge; 7)Store Yard tools/gardening gear; 8)Cleaning & Toiletry item storage (think big Costco quantities of paper towels etc - fam of 5); 9)Sewing supplies & Gift wrap items; 10)General Storage (holiday decorations, additional artwork, kids mementos, luggage, entertaining items (extra goblets/trays/outdoor items))!! The ceiling is unfinished, but most walls are drywall finished. Want to make a 1st run at fitting in all of these functions w/ spending much at all. Later, a 2nd round will be to make it "pretty." For now, we just need functional. Ideas, anyone? Think diy, not hiring it out. :)
