I was picking up fallen mangoes from my lawn yesterday morning and to my surprise, on the skin of my mangoes I found snails attached (see picture). I live off a freshwater canal is South Florida and while I have seen large apple snails in the water, I haven't come across any in/on my lawn. How do I get rid of things assuming I need to be concerned?

Another mango had this unusual worm (see picture). I have no idea what this is. Does anyone else?

This morning there was a flat white worm of the same size as the one pictured on a blade of grass. It didn't have the hairs or a bulbous end - it stood on one end and the other was moving about like an inchworm would but this was flat and translucent white.

Between the snails, and two unidentifed worms I'm now more viligent when picking my fruit to ensure there isn't even the slightest break of the skin.

We don't allow our dogs to use our "living area" of the front and backyard but walk them instead. Of course if they are out with us however, they will occasionally go but we always pick it up. More importantly, they are given monthly treatments for worms, ticks and fleas. I say this because my first thought was worms from the dogs but it seems unlikely given their treatment. We do have a neighbor that doesn't pick up after her dogs and I'm sure they aren't treated but they are contained within their fence.

Ducks? We have native and non-native ducks that will feast on our fallen mangoes and other fruit trees.

Any help with identification, control and treatment would be appreciated.
