So I have three 18"x30"x14" bins in my backyard attm. I had corn growing in them but now that's been harvested and the stalks have dried out. I want to plant something unusual but not something like a traditional vegetable like a pepper, squash, etc that's normally planted in a pot or raised bed. I'm thinking along the lines of sweet potatoes (haven't been able to find slips yet and it getting late in the season to start them), peanuts, or maybe even rice or grain. The yield isn't all that important, I just want to experiment and learn something new via the challenge. I've done the sweet potatoes and peanuts before and if no other options turn up Id be happy to grow them again if possible, but again, I want a good challenge. Any suggestions?
