Grass Root Irrigation tools...

last modified: 8 years ago

I am looking for a grass root deep irrigation tool shaped like a fork. The one brand online that I can find is discontinued. I am trying to revive a few brown patches and the fork is much better than a single shaft design. My neighbor has one from the 80's but I cannot find one anywhere...

Does anyone have a lead?

That's a Yard Butler. ITJ-2C. They seem to be out of stock everywhere (discontinued, it seems), and the only ones I can find are also single-prong: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=Yard+Butler+irrigator&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_osacat=0&_odkw=Yard+Butler+ITJ+2C

Sorry I can't help more, but at least it should help prove that you aren't simply missing something. You aren't. :-) It's possible you might be able to find one used on eBay if you get lucky, but...

You are looking for an aerator, not irrigator.

No, I am looking for an irrigator. The aerators do not push water down to the roots. I am aerating as well but for this project, an irrigator is what I need.

I'd just set a sprinkler and let it run long enough to do the job.
