The rug I have now is a 5x7 because I have a really difficult rug placement scenario here because the two registers prevent it from going under the sofa and an 8x10 would even block the front door way. I got the rug before I had these sofas and we are trying to do a mini spanish revival/ incorporating some southwestern design styles in the small space. I had tried to pick one that read southwestern but had a more modern layout. We're you suggesting a solid colored rug?

Here's a start. You probably need something like this antique Spanish candelabra, too.

Maybe you should center the rug and seating on the stove. What else is going in this room?

We really like that!! We have the wood stove on the tile hearth with two ox chairs on either side and a ornate gold framed collage behind, then the bench at the entry with a shelf above that has wrought iron hooks and on the wall to the left of the sofa is a floor to ceiling cross collage collection I got started, right now we have a black iron and dark wood fan we are hoping to replace with an iron pendant.

these two are for sale in my area I really like the big one but I think it's too big maybe I have to look into them more and I'll let you guys know what do you think about them? Already looking at bigger rug options too, thank you guys.

hello, today I moved around the furniture does anyone like this configuration better? I floated the chair under the tapestry and have room for maybe a table behind it (this one I'm not too sure it works, it's gold) and placed the sofa under the window which needs drapes and I would still need a few more tables.

Another thought, if I were to follow these small space rug guidelines and float all the furniture maybe another chair would be nice with this set up, I placed one of my old set here just to take a pic.

if anyone likes this set up do you think something like this vintage montgomery wards rocker would go with the Sandoval set?

any thoughts on if anyone of these would benefit the setting best?
