Does anyone have "Let's Twist Again"?

I was trying to order myself a new Rainbow's End to replace the sad dying one which had been a southern blight victim last year. As I wanted to make the shipping/how much you are spending on hostas ratio better, I decided to order another cutie which caught my eye and which was different from anything else in my garden--Let's Twist Again.

Does anyone have LTA? If so, what can you tell me about it?

This will be my first order with Made in the Shade since Rob sold to Trey. I am crossing my fingers it goes well. I had always been very happy with what Rob sent me and his being always willing to answer questions.

I didn't think Rob exactly sold the business entirely to Trey... but rather took him on as a partner, to help with the huge amount of work it must be. I live really close to MITS, so when I get plants there I go over to pick them up and its still at Rob's house. But then, I can't say I really know anything about the business. But I will tell you Esther, I bought some lovely plants there this spring... nothing was different to my eyes, except Trey met me at the greenhouse to make the transaction - instead of Rob.

But to answer your question: sorry, I don't have LTA.

I got a weird email from Trey late last night telling me that he would check the greenhouse in the morning to see IF they had Rainbow's End and Let's Twist Again in stock. And, if not, would I be interested in a substitution. Neither of those hostas was marked Out of Stock on their hosta list at that point. I told him, truthfully, that I had spent HOURS picking out a second hosta to make the shipping charges worthwhile and that I was not interested in any substitutions. Well, I didn't get any email all day today from Trey, letting me know one way or the other if they had those hostas or if they were out. And, BOTH hostas are still on their hosta list and do NOT say "Sold Out". Not Nice! Now I'm back at square 1, and I am ticked off at not hearing one way or the other. I don't think I'll be ordering anything from them again unless it's the Last Chance Corral for certain hosta.

DTeager, I just had a look at Wrinkle in Time and it just doesn't do anything for me. Slow growth is OK, because I was intending to pot Let's Twist Again.

I saw another hosta that I rather liked, called Oreo Cream. Does anyone have that one?

WHY must I fall in love with scarce/expensive hostas? I don't do jewelry (I make my own), I have no desire for expensive clothes, the latest cars--why do I pick out the hard to find hostas??

UPDATE - Trey emailed me this morning. He forwarded to me an email he says he sent, telling me he indeed had both hostas I wanted. He wanted to know if I had received that email. I had NOT received it. I had received no reply whatsoever after his "we may not have that hosta" email. So, I wanted to be fair and tell y'all that he DID follow up. I check my email several times/day and it is weird that he said he sent that email but I never got it. But, I got his other ones. Twilight Zone, anyone?

Just got Oreo Cream from Sebright this year--I like the twisted leaves. It's different than anything that I have already in the garden.

Miles, got any pics? I would LOVE to see another pic of Oreo Cream.

I finally got another email from Trey, saying they DO have Let's Twist Again and Rainbow's End, and that they had packaged them up both for me. But they won't be shipped til Monday due to some sort of family emergency in Trey's family and they haven't invoiced me yet. I don't get it, but time will tell if I get my hostas.

Here's a picture of Oreo Cream tonight--it's been raining and I haven't mulched that bed yet. Some of the leaves are clearly twisted--quite different than others in my garden.

Now that I think of it, it seems like a bolder version of my Royal Tiara.

Very similar just a lighter green--hmmm I may need that one!

Miles, I just love the delicate beauty of my Royal Tiara. The wispy white stripes perfectly highlight the leaves, and the twisting makes for a multi-shadowed play of light.
