How about a Wedgewood type blue for the wall color?

I agree with Darzy's choice because it will complement to your chairs but I may suggest light blue or turquoise.

Pull a color from the rug

I would suggest taking a color that is in your room and using it on your wall.. light blue would match the rug but there are a million blues. . Is there a prominent color in your artwork? My suggestion is to use the Color911 app to nail down the exact color. I created this app for help with color. One of he may features is to take a photograph and pull the colors out of it. If you photograph our rug you can get the right blue to match. Just enlarge the color and when you go to the paint store they can match it. It's a great tool that way. It's a really pretty room, I think the blue might have an open and airy feel which would look great.

I don't think I would use the orange, brown and green picture in this particular room. If you use the back ground color that's on your rug (is it a taupe?) as your wall color, your artwork will really pop. Or... select a blue from your fabric. MUST take to paint store for exact blue. Blues are tricky!

From your description I would do something like BM Rushing River. The only thing I am wondering about i the trim around the windows.....Is it white and not coming across that way in your picture? The baseboards look crisp white and the window trim looks very off wihite?

Who makes SW paint?

Trim was a different color but want to switch it back to white.

SW is short for Sherwin-Williams

A creamy white or decorators white would be a good choice.

What about restoration Hardware's Silver Sage? It's a blue/green/grey. It looks fab with golds and the oranges and rusts in your artwork
