Diffenbachia leaves turning yellow

My diffenbachia leaves are turning yellow... I've been keeping it in my bathroom that gets a good amount of indirect light throughout the day and watering it when the soil feels dry. Am I doing something wrong and is there a way to reverse the damage?

Top damage looks like when roots too wet, very dark appearance of potting medium consistent with this. Substantial gap between top of medium and top of pot also implies medium is old, broken down and airless.

Is it in a new location now? What type of Potting Mix are you using? Are you fertilizing?

It looks like it needs much stronger light. Mine is thriving where it gets dappled sun (under trees) a good part of the day. I fertilize it every few weeks. It's thick and bushy.
