Unfortunately, the costs involved with a vet going directly to your own home would financially outweigh the convenience.

If your pet is having major issues, the vet's office is best equipped for taking care of illnesses or unexpected issues, and the office will have more sophisticated specialty equipment (I'm not talking radiographs or basic lab stuff or a decent microscope etc). While a mobile vet might have many of the basic services, it's really not financially feasible for the vet.

Additionally, having known a mobile vet for a good many years, their time is often taken up by the owners wanting to be hospitable and by visiting with the vet (the services were vaccinations, dealing with ear infestations or ear infections, etc). BTW, that mobile vet "retired" her services for the reasons mentioned above, and became a teacher at a veterinary school.
