- Relocate the toilet and tub location
- Remove the elevated floor
- Change flooring and window
- Update vanity, mirror and fixtures
Not bad for DIY weekend warriors. Now to tackle the rest of the house.

Once we removed the decking around the toilet and pulled out the sunken tub we discovered how easy it was to extend the sewage line and water line to the sunken tub area. Very little concrete was actually under the raised platform. The tub was flipped to where a linen closet once stood. The most complicated part of this project became filling the sunken tub area. Rebar was installed, a concrete mixer rented and leveling tools. We also used another leveling concrete once everything was poured. A wall is now separating the toilet and tub. I lost some storage, but have installed closet organizers in bedrooms to accommodate blankets and other items.
