You started with the last thing on the list. There are infinitely more paint choices than furnishings choice.

The first thing you start with is the budget. Then the functional needs that the room has to provide. Then the floor plan. Then design the whole. Then you purchase items that fit the design created.

Don’t start at the end and work backwards.

Since the walls have already been painted that becomes the basis for the rest of the room. My next step would be the bedding. I would pick something that has some of the color of the walls in it and any other colors that you like (e.g. gray white & teal bedding). After that I would move on to curtains, area rug and artwork. Since the walls and the bedding are the primary surfaces in the room the remaining items should be viewed as accents and just need to coordinate with the bedding and the walls. I start with something (walls, bedding) and then go from there picking out the rest of the room. I think I would look at bedding next -- you can do a print or you can do a solid, then find some curtains that look good with both the bedding and the walls, find a rug that goes well with walls, bedding and curtains. The artwork and accessories are the fun part. And I don't believe in spending a lot of money on accessories because you can always change those out -- pillows, etc. from Home Goods type of places rather than Nordstroms for example.

I would start w/purpose of room. In this case being a bedroom, I’d start getting the BEST bed my money could buy. Then select next favorite item (ie, are you into drapes? Carpet? etc). You don’t have to have everything in one day. When people do, they end up being unhappy w/ 75% of acquisitions. Only exception would be window coverings for privacy, which is top priority.

I'm assuming that you have spent time planning and visualising the room and the atmosphere you wish to create. Of course the order of buying things then is not that important. However I agree with previous posters that in a bedroom the bedding is the central element, and starting from there should help you to design the rest.
