Zephyr Tempest Pro Hood

We are looking at the Zephyr Tempest I and II hoods, both 36 inches wide, for over a 36 inch induction cooktop.

Do you think an 11 inch tall hood or 18 inch tall hood would work better over an induction cooktop?

Like the Zephyr Tempest hood? I don’t really like the controls and Zephyr badge visible under the hood.

Any other suggestions for similar style of hood?

Thanks!

Thanks very much. I wonder how quiet the Zephyr hoods are. Haven't tested out any. The only thing with the Zephyr Tempest hoods which isn't as great it seems is seeing the controls and Zephyr logo underneath. Would be better to have recessed controls and no logo showing. Ventahood supposed to be really good too. Good points Sabrina Alfin Interiors. Thanks!

Generally speaking, if you're not losing any efficacy, always go with the lower-profile version. This model is far more functional than decorative, so don't call too much attention to it. I like Zephyr hoods. Just spec'd a wall chimney model for my clients. Good value for the money.

Any pictures? I am looking at both the Tempest I and II. I have a galley kitchen with about 5' between both cabinet runs and wondering if the 18" tall model will be too overbearing.

G O - any updates on what you got? We also have a galley with 5 feet between sides and I'm wondering if the 18" tempest II will look too heavy in there.

@m111675 Any update on which rang hood you chose and how you like it?
