Peach Jam/Compote

A friend's neighbor brought her a load of fresh peaches from his tree and she shared 6 softball-sized peaches with me. I decided to make Peach Freezer Jam. I let the cut-up peaches, lemon juice and sugar macerate over night; then stirred in the boiled pectin; and put it in jars to rest for 24 hours before freezing. I've never done peaches before, so hope the recipe is as good as it looks.

(Oh, I forgot to mention the Amaretto that I added just for fun.)
