I always prefer Roman shades since you can get them in so many colors!

I like the wood. I think it will add some natural texture and warmth to the space, as well as balance out your floors, stools and cutting boards.

The woven wood shade seems like a great way to tie in the floors to the rest of the space. They are an excellent choice of window covering in a kitchen space.
