This is tongue & groove cypress flooring - 5" wide plank. It's great for porch flooring!!!! Make sure you slope your porch floor and provide for drainage.

I would think the flooring would get moisture from rain/condensation?

Yes - we anticipate moisture. The wood is cypress - which is great. But even more important is that the floor has a slight slope to it - and there is a drainage system around the perimeter. Rot occurs when the water gets trapped. Make sure the water can escape.

Cypress is also very resistant to rot.

Yes - we LOVE cypresss. We make our doors out of cypress as well!

What do you mean a "drainage system" around the perimeter? In your pictures it seems there is no gap between boards and the railings go right down to the floors.
    1. Do you have a picture of the drainage system?
    2. Does the drainage system allow bugs to get in?
    3. In Midwest where can I get good T&G cypress?
    4. Can cypress be stained lighter than shown?
Thanks so much for answering my questions! !! Your porches are beautiful.
