Place the lantern to the right on shelf and bowl to the top left. Why do you have spa colors?
Does it carry to the kitchen or dining area?
Accent colors are confusing. Is the rust shade from a former room? The navy is pleasing. The two prints in pillows clash.
The lovely print over the fireplace should be lowered...nothing on mantel.
The floor lamp looks odd the way it is stretched out. Would look better if adjusted to the classic
position.
Find a new home for the red candle holder on
the demi-line table. Leave only the lamp with books next to it....no plants.
Is there a coffee table? If not, consider one so
you can cut back on the amount of small tables...so many!
I just saw the dining room carpet....spa blue.
However, consider accent colors flowing easily
from room to room......they actually are one room.
Congrats on removing awkward half wall....floors are beautiful.

Pretty space! There is a lot of visual interest between the spaces, so I would keep it simple. Try using what you might have: place the lantern on the top on one side and center the tray/balls on the bottom shelf. Get an ivy in a pretty pot and place it on the other side of the top shelf to soften up the space. Scoot the top items towards the middle a bit, rather than have them hanging on the end of the table.

You didn't ask - and I can't help myself - I would lower the art above your fireplace, try about 4" above the mantle.

Lol, Sammie J, my eyes went to the art above the fireplace immediately, I was pondering mentioning it since I really didn’t have anything else to add re the sofa table decor.

@RM,thanks for the help!.Unfortunately cant lower the pic above fireplace there is a niche behind it where the previous owner had placed there t.v.
I do have a coffee I will add some more pic to show the whole room.I have tried the lantern on the shelf but want fit it's to tall.
