36” seems awfully short for hardwood..i wouldn’t do it unless it was for a very small space. How wide are the planks?

36” is a rather common length for wood look tile. Maybe you can google that and get some good pictures so you get an idea of what it might look like in your space.

Check the high-end hardwood floors from Ebony and Co on the page "projects". Most of these planks are between 1.50 and 3 meters.

What's the budget?

Over 1,000 square feet qualifies for custom coloring. Random 1-8 foot lengths.

Final costs may run $ 9 -12 square foot, but depends if it's distressed in some fashion.

Again, what is the name of the "particular floor"? It sounds like short ends to me.

A word of caution: when you say “particular” flooring, what product are you looking at? Engineered flooring has the longevity of high fashion. If you had a dollar for everyone who posted here because they couldn’t get more of the flooring they installed last year, you would be a wealthy man!

However, if you install oak, hickory, maple, etc. and have it stained and finished to your taste, you will always be able to match it.
