So we bought a fixer upper a few months ago and we are about to replace the roof and gutters. My husband is set on a metal roof which I’m fine with. We plan to build the dog houses out more so that the water will flow better but I would also like to build an awning over the front door. I think the space between the two dog houses is awkward and adding the awning will change the roof line enough to give it some contrast. However my husband is worried about it not being centered and will look strange. If you notice, the double window is (2) 3 pain windows and the other window is 4 pain therefor the door is not centered between the dog houses. What do you guys think? Add an awning or does the roof line look ok as it?
