It will be more suitable if you can find a taller lamp. It doesn't matter if it covers a little bit from the mirror frame. You don't have to put all the decorations of same height.

odd number of accessories is good, as is the variety ... same size not good, try small, medium, and large ... and vary the lineup so it doesn't appear as a train chuggin down the tracks

Cute table. I like both pieces, however I would guess when you look at it you notice that the setting is top heavy. It is because your mirror is bulkier than the cabinet below. The mirror is also darker, making the setting top heavy. To balance it out you could paint the cabinet s darker color than the mirror, even a distressed black would work. I would add a tall mirror that reflects into the mirror giving added dimension. You don't need to fill all the space on the cabinet. Along with the lamp add a tall decor item like a clock or candlestick and then a small picture. To layer your design. Happy decorating.

Shall I make a suggestion? Could you try hanging the mirror the other way? I mean, so that it appears wider and shorter. It's bulkier than the console, so let's try to emphasize that! Could you maybe try it with blue tape, just to see how it looks? I've found this photo with a heavy looking mirror which is wider than the console and it does look very nice!

You need larger lamp, stack books and decorative piece such as a Buddha head.

What about placing a dark tray on top to give the cabinet some weight?
